Dear Parents,
On Monday, I picked up a dozen eggs that had been incubated for us from the MSU Poultry Farm. I like to get them so that the chicks begin to hatch within 24 hours. When we opened the egg carton, a chick had decided to come early and was halfway out of his shell. The children were so excited! We had a lot of language rich time observing and talking about the chicks and how they hatch. Today, on Tuesday, we began to have a turn to look at and touch the chicks. We always wash our hands prior to and after we touch a chick. The children are fascinated with the chicks! This has been a fun experience!
