Mrs. Howse is the Basic Classroom Teacher at MacDonald Middle School. She came to our classroom to visit students that are getting ready for middle school. She spent the day with us and taught a math lesson with Mrs. Olance. It was great to spend the day with Mrs. Howse and show her just how hard the students are working and how much they have learned! We had a very busy, fun Halloween Day at school! We had fun at the parade and with our classroom party! A special thank you to all the parents that provided a treat for our party! The kids enjoyed the food and pop so much! It was so nice to see those of you that were able to come and meet some of our new family members for the first time. We hope you feel welcome to join us! This morning we carved our pumpkin for Halloween. The children got to smell the pumpkin and then get a handful of pumpkin to help clean it out. (We actually just had each child take 1 handful of pumpkin). We voted on which shapes they wanted for the pumpkin's eyes, nose and mouth. We made the face with a Sharpie Marker. Then we wrote the student's describing words of how the inside of the pumpkin felt on the back of the pumpkin! These pictures are priceless. The children's faces are adorable as they are feeling the pumpkin. I have included some sequences of a few students that warmed my heart! I didn't even see some of their expressions until I uploaded my pictures! Today we went to our Annual Special Olympics Bowling at Royal Scot. The children did an amazing job! They waited their turns, cheered when their bowling ball knocked down pins and cheered for their friends! We got to see some old friends from Pinecrest, the middle school and the high school. A special thank you to Grandpa Jan (Parker's grandpa) who came to help us once again with bowling. Thank you also for the snacks that you brought for us! You obviously have a lot more grand kids now as all the kids call you "Grandpa". Also, thank you to Jaslene's parents and Leah's mom and Marquis' grandma who came to cheer us on and give a helping hand! We appreciate all of your support for allowing your child to participate in bowling! We hope you enjoy the pictures. It was a great trip! |
